Managing Director

Jonathan Scott is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and accomplished Engineering Manager with over 14 years’ experience across the UK and French nuclear industries. As our co-founder and Managing Director at Acuity Engineering, he brings expertise spanning all stages of the project lifecycle, Jonathan is skilled in delivering proportionate and ALARP-driven solutions in complex safety case environments.

Operations Director 

Our Operations Director, David McCracken, has led high-profile initiatives across operational, defueling, and decommissioning phases of UK nuclear power stations, as well as procurement and construction on HS2. David has a proven track record of leading large, cross-functional teams to achieve outstanding results and his leadership at EDF Energy and HS2 has been instrumental in driving efficiency, innovation, and technical excellence in project delivery.

Principal Engineer

With over two decades of experience across the UK nuclear and environmental sectors, our Principal Engineer, John Saunders is a leading specialist in fluid systems design, commissioning, and optimisation. From legacy sites to new build projects, his structured approach ensures safety, efficiency, and compliance. John’s deep technical insight delivers lasting impact across every phase of the project lifecycle.

Senior EC&I Engineer

Our Senior EC&I Engineer, David Haslem has led projects covering class 3 safety systems, turbine control systems, 400KV transformer exchanges, and infrastructure upgrades, often working in highly regulated environments. David’s core competencies include the design, testing and commissioning of EC&I systems, development of safety case documentation, and managing integrated teams.

Senior Process Engineer

Hannah Hamer is a skilled Technical Engineer with a strong foundation in process engineering and four years of experience in the nuclear sector. Her expertise spans the full project lifecycle, from requirement specification and design to construction oversight and commissioning of large-scale process plants. Hannah’s skills make her an asset in delivering effective and compliant engineering solutions.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our Senior Mechanical Engineer, Max Vollans, is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and has extensive experience in technical delivery and cross-functional engineering management across a wide range of UK civil nuclear projects. His experience lies primarily in mechanical handling systems, nuclear safety and fuel route processing equipment, with a strong focus on ALARP principles and regulatory compliance. 

Senior C&I Engineer 

Nick Snape has played a key role in the design, build, and commissioning of test facilities, as well as delivering site-based project engineering solutions. His expertise spans instrumentation in nuclear design and operation, safety-significant systems, and full project lifecycle documentation. Nick has worked on stand-alone C&I packages and large-scale site and fleet-wide projects. 

Junior C&I Engineer

Kevin Mukamanzi is a graduate EC&I engineer fresh from supporting the Hinkley Point C project with EDF, where he contributed to instrumentation and control installation as an Assistant Project Manager. With a background in electrical and electronic engineering and a passion for continuous learning, he brings skills in project coordination, technical analysis, and risk management.  

Business Manager

With over eight years’ experience in Corporation Tax at a Big Four accountancy firm, Alice brings a strong foundation in financial oversight and strategic business operations. She joined Acuity Engineering as Business Manager in January 2024, where she leads the company’s finance and HR functions, applying her expertise to support sustainable growth and organisational performance.
