Senior EC&I Engineer
David is a highly motivated Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) engineer with hands-on experience delivering complex projects across the UK’s nuclear fleet. From early-stage design and specification through to installation, commissioning, and closeout, he brings deep technical knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving. He has led the design, installation, and commissioning of turbine control and protection systems at Sizewell B, managed infrastructure strategies and concept phases for large-scale upgrades at Hinkley Point B, and overseen major EC&I works at Heysham 2, including transformer exchanges and shutdown system upgrades.
Known for building effective multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring regulatory compliance, David has also delivered safety-critical systems at Dungeness B, Heysham 2, Hinkley Point B and other stations across the fleet. He has supported regulatory readiness at Hinkley Point C, and contributed to novel control function design for submarine reactor systems with Rolls-Royce. His experience spans operational stations, new build environments, decommissioning and cross-discipline collaboration, making him a valuable asset to high-integrity engineering programmes.
